New Update Available - Build 0.13
Now available for download on Itch, Build 0.13 completes Chapter 14! This build includes the following:
- Completes the final branch from when Alex passes out at the cabin, taking him along a sequence with optional explicit shifted content.
- Brings all branches back together with a return to Mayhew's tower.
- Begin the research into the plague creatures.
- Characters included in this update are Seth, Mayhew, Paolo, Ronan and Kai.
Meanwhile, I'm at work writing the next update. Thanks for all the patience and enthusiasm.
If you continue reading, I'm including a brief bit of light-spoilers to address a common question for unlocking the shifted content.

SPOILERS BEGIN
To access the dream sequence, you have to avoid the romantic branches with Nick and Connor. Avoiding the romance with Nick isn't too hard. To avoid the scene with Connor, just lie to Seth earlier in Chapter 14 while talking in the living room. That done, after you hit your head you should wake up in a room without Connor or Nick. Later in the sequence, to obtain access to the fully explicit content with the shifters, you will have to have not opted out of it earlier in the game. There are two opportunities to opt-out: in the coffee house with Connor when you're flirting with him, and then between Nick and Ronan in the sewers. If you have opted out, you will automatically wake up and not see the shifted content.

Hi. Totally like the product and will continue to play.
But want to mention a few points:
a. if elders are so political why Mayhew tells Alex about council and creatures rules freely in effect telling him that he is about to be attacked/eliminated and by proxy all his associates? I understand the need to create the world but surely you need a storyline where Alex finds this out somehow (from Nick or Seth who was told as part of his stealing data storyline)
b. Paolo's story is bizarre - killing another elder because of cruelty to one "lower" creature? All his security just running in effect forfeiting their lives and status while they could have killed Mayhew easily as he implies by admitting he did that only after deciding security staff are not loyal? And all the bother of finding his servants afterwards not to get secrets and influence but to be killed by a traumatized/unreliable creature? Sorry, totally ridiculous
Paolo attacking elder's security while Mayhew is there in effect letting Mayhew use the opportunity to eliminate another elder/his network as well as sparing Paolo's life to work for him - would make sense
c. Nick's story of elder in Iraq doesn't really cut it. Any difference here from any other cruel/incompetent army general? The lead how he found out about them sure but otherwise I don't see any elders innate darkness her. Digging after and getting some horrible info from one of high-ranking generals who covered that attack up but after been hard done by elders on the other hand

As a non-furry lover, I'm a bit sad that the sub content seems to be reserved for fully shifted NPCs recently, but the writing and character work are honestly so good I'll keep playing regardless. Plus, I know they tend to be better received commercially, so that means it'll keep the game going. I wanna know so badly what happens next lol. I need to start a VTM campaign yesterday!

How can I access the shifted content? I tried to go back to where Connor, Nick and Seth is talking in the living room and then I lied to Seth but when I passed out and woke up Nick is beside me. Do I need to repeat again and avoid flirting with both Nick and Connor?
no just avoid flirting with nick and say yes to the two shifted wharwolf options in past chapters
I already did that
It's hard to say exactly what the issue is you're encountering but as long as you have opted in to the shifter content and do not get either the Nick or Connor romances, it should unlock for you. That said, some folks are definitely still having some challenges with this, so the next update is going to have a revamped system for this where you make one choice at the launch of the game (and you can change it in the menu) so you KNOW whether you are opted in or out of those sequences.
Thank you for the update! Loved the content; steamy beginning, thoughtful middle, informative windup, and a brutal cliffhanger. Ronan and Paolo are my two favorite characters, so seeing more of them was great.
If you don't mind me asking, there was something I was curious about. I believe it was mentioned somewhere else that at some point there would be relationship significance if Alex had remained mostly monogamous before eventually getting together with someone. Does 'dream fun' mess with that?
It does, unfortunately. I may change this a bit in the final build but for now there are three branches at that moment: Connor, Nick or Seth. If you want a monogamous relationship with Connor or Nick, you'll need to take advantage of that opportunity there (though it's based on earlier choices and your relationship with them). In a final build, I may move this around a bit to have the dream sequence included in any of the three branches, but for now that's how it's shaking out.
